WORLD OF TRAVEL SYDNEY
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: 25 September 2026
This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how we handle requests to change or cancel travel booked through World of Travel Sydney. The outcome depends on the supplier's terms, the fare or package rules, the reason for cancellation and any rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Change of mind or voluntary cancellation
If you choose to cancel or change travel for reasons unrelated to a failure by the supplier, your entitlement to a refund or credit will generally depend on the applicable supplier terms and fare rules. Some bookings are non-refundable or subject to cancellation fees.
2. Supplier cancellation or significant change
If an airline, cruise line, hotel, tour operator or other supplier cancels or significantly changes a service, we will assist with the options the supplier makes available and any remedies required by applicable law.
3. Australian Consumer Law
Travel services can be covered by consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Depending on the circumstances, a delayed or cancelled service may give rise to a replacement service, refund or other remedy. Supplier policies cannot remove consumer guarantee rights that apply by law.
4. Agency and service fees
Any agency or service fee charged by us will be disclosed where applicable. Whether a fee is refundable will depend on the service performed, the reason for cancellation and rights that apply under law. A supplier's cancellation fee is separate from any disclosed agency fee.
5. No-shows and missed services
If a traveller misses a flight, cruise, tour, transfer or other service for reasons unrelated to the supplier, the booking may be treated as a no-show and may become non-refundable under supplier terms.
6. Refund processing
Where a refund is approved, timing can depend on the airline or other supplier, payment method, card issuer and banking system. We will process or pass on a supplier refund within a reasonable time after cleared funds or authority are received, subject to applicable law.
7. Credits and vouchers
Supplier credits or vouchers may have expiry dates, name restrictions, fare differences, route limits or other conditions. Those conditions will be communicated where available.
8. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can review the booking and any available remedy. A chargeback does not automatically override supplier terms or determine legal entitlement to a refund.
9. Requesting a change, cancellation or refund
Contact us as soon as possible with the traveller name, booking reference and requested action. Time limits can apply, and delaying a request may reduce the options available.
For general consumer information about travel cancellations, see the ACCC travel delays and cancellations guidance.
